Salimah Hussien, sophomore in Bioengineering, applied for the McNair scholarship in March, and her application was accepted today. What is even better is the research proposal she submitted was accepted without revision! After several internal revisions, she was able to prepare an excellent research proposal. This is the second time the student in our lab achieved this feat. The first one was Thanh Dinh last year. Salimah will be working on the light-triggered differentiation of neural stem cells during the summer. Congratulations!
